Our vision as a church is to know and grow in Christ, and to make Him known. We seek to do this by the Holy Spirit’s empowering through…

  • Reaching

Jesus tells his followers to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:16-20). This involves reaching those who do not know Christ with the gospel. We seek to reach the world through the proclamation of the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Teaching

The Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) is not only about reaching people with the gospel, but also about growing them in the gospel. The Great Commission is about discipling people, that is, it is about helping people become more and more like Christ. At KEC, the preaching and teaching of the Scriptures is at the heart of all we do. Christians grow and mature spiritually as they feed on God’s word.

  • Ministering

Discipleship doesn’t only happen from the front (i.e. from the person preaching), but by the congregation speaking gospel truth in love to one another (Ephesians 4:1-16). We all have a vital role to play as members of the body of Christ, through ministering to one another.

Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
